Ventura Raceway in 1950.

Opened in 1924 for cars as a half mile dirt oval, it had been used for motorcycle racing from 1910-23. It was reduced to a 1/5 mile dirt oval in 1934.

A rodeo arena was built within the larger oval shown in the 1950 map, and this was converted into a 1/10 mile dirt oval which was run from 1978 to 1984. It was enlarged to 1/5 mile in 1985, when it was also known as Ventura Speedway. A 1/5 mile dirt figure 8 was added in 2000, when the track was also known as Seaside Park Speedway.
