São Paulo

2.536 mile circuit first used in 2010.

Located at the Sambadrome Anhembi, this circuit first held the São Paulo Indy 300 on the 14th March 2010. The painted surface of the Sambadrome proved problematic in practice for the race, so the paint had to be removed and the surface ground down with tiny grooves created. This worked, but created large clouds of dust despite heavy rainfall and surface washing.

The Anhembi Sambadrome was also the venue for a 2.933 km (1.822 mile) circuit first used on the 25th March 2023 for a round of the Formula E championship.
