Plant Field
Built in 1921 on North Brevard Street (later John F. Kennedy Boulevard) as
a 1/2 mile dirt oval, Plant Field was the site of the South Florida State
Fairgrounds. It continued in use through to 1980, when the University of Tampa
converted the area into an athletics field.
