Phoenix Grand Prix Circuit

A temporary street circuit located in central Phoenix. The inaugural race in 1989 was held on a 2.360 mile track held in the mid-summer desert heat, but the race was subsequently moved to the cooler Spring. For 1991 the track was reprofiled to a 2.312 mile circuit. The race was never popular, and was cancelled when a local ostrich race drew a larger crowd.
