Nagatino Island

A 2.24 mile track near Moscow, construction of which was due to start on November 30th, 2001. However, the commerical contract with Bernie Ecclestone was rejected by the Mayor of Moscow in March 2002, so construction was delayed. It was eventually abandoned altogether in January 2003, when the city government decided to set the land aside for a hotel, yacht marina and golf course instead.
