How To Get There

The scenic route is Route 1, which runs alongside the ocean through many small towns. Route 1 goes through Monterey. The fast route from San Francisco is I280 or Route 101, where they merge at San Jose. At Salinas, take Rte 68 or 156 into Monterey.
