Bunbury

Located 120 miles south of Perth, the "Bunbury Flying 50" was held on a two mile street circuit in 1938 (the left most circuit above). It was a further 8 years later that the next race was held in 1946.

14 years later, in 1960, the third race meeting was held on the circuit. For 1962 a new track was tried in Carey Park, before returning to the town on a modified circuit (shown on the right above) in 1963. This was the last race to be held in Bunbury.

In 2004, construction of the Bunbury International Circuit was started, a new 4.000 km circuit located 7 km south-east of Bunbury. It was built by Perth International Motorsport Management, and is due to host rounds of the Japanese Super GT and Formula Nippon in 2005.
