Originally known as the Circuit de Peel, the track, owned by Harry Maessen, opened as a 470m concrete oval on the 18th August 1990. It was repaved with asphalt over the winter of 1995/96, and was extended to 520m in 1999. In 2007 an agreement was reached to move the circuit across the road from the old complex, and a new 1/4 mile oval opened in 2009. Over the winter of 2010/11 the 1/2 mile oval was built around the 1/4 mile.
