Atlantic City Speedway


Located in Hammonton, Atlantic City Speedway was a 1.5 mile wooden oval built by Jack Prince and Art Pillsbury. It was one of the fastest of the board tracks, Frank Lockhart setting an lap speed of 147.727mph in 1927, the 45 degree banked bends aiding the sustained high speeds. It was operational between the 1st May 1926 and the 16th September 1928, and is now the site of Troop A of the New Jersey State Police.
