Proper name was Alfonso António Vicente Eduardo Ángel Blas Francisco de
Borja Cabeza de Vaca y Leighton, 17th Marquis de Portago.

Also a successful jockey in French steeplechasing, and competed in UK Grand
National twice.

1954 - 2nd in Buenos Aires 1000km (Ferrari) with Schell. Won 2-litre race
       at Metz (Maserati)
1955 - non-title races: 2nd Venezuelan GP, won Governor's Cup at Nassau
1956 - 4 F1 GP (Ferrari), 3 points, J15th. (shared 2nd in GB GP). Took part
       in Spanish Winter Olympic Bobsleigh team. won Tour de France sportscar
       race (Ferrari GT)
1957 - 1 F1 GP (Ferrari), 1 point (shared 5th in Argentina). Sportscars: won
       at Montlhery, 3rd in Buenos Aires 1000km & Cuban GP. Killed on Mille
       Miglia. tyre burst, and car went into crowd, killing ten spectators
       and both occupants
