1951 - Drove 500cc Cooper and JBS-Norton, won class in hill-climbs at
       Prescott and Shelsley Walsh
1952 - 6 F1 attempts (HWM), 0 points, DNQ=2 (6th France). F2: 2nd in Les
       Sables d'Olonne. Won Goodwood 9 Hrs (Aston Martin)
1953 - 4 F1 GP (HWM), 0 points. F2: 3rd Eifelrennen. Won Tourist Trophy
       (Aston Martin)
1954 - 3 F1 GP (Vandervell), 0 points. Won F.Libre events at Snetterton and
       Goodwood
1955 - 2 F1 GP (1 Owen Racing/Maserati, 1 Maserati), 0 points. 2nd at
       Le Mans (Aston Martin) with Frere
1956 - 7 F1 GP (Ferrari), 25 points, 3rd. 2 wins (Belgium, France). 2nd at
       Le Mans (Aston Martin) with S.Moss. Handed F1 car to Fangio at Italy
       at request at Ferrari, even though this meant he couldn't win
       championship. Did so without hesitation, and consequently held with
       special affection by Enzo Ferrari
1957 - 6 F1 GP (Ferrari), 9.5 points, 7th. Won non-championship F1 races at
       Syracuse and Naples GPs
1958 - Won Buenos Aires 1000km and Sebring 12hrs with Phil Hill. Won
       International Trophy for Ferrari at Silverstone. 7 F1 GP (Ferrari), 
       14 points, 5th. 1 win (GB). Fatally killed in crash at Nurburgring -
       clipped bank and somersaulted car at 100mph over hedge and into field.
       Hurled from car, suffered severe head injuries, and died in hospital
       in Bonn, not having regained conciousness.
